Last orders at the Lucky Laborador

Not much of a ride today – a flat three miles to the Lucky Lab and back.  Still, that’s more than I’ve been riding on most days since we returned from Hawaii.  In the last two weeks I’ve only been on the bike three times, for a total of about 40 miles.  This, in spite of the fact that we’ve been having some unseasonably fine cycling weather.

That’s what you get for your spur of the moment decision to sell the condo and hit the road, Scooter.

not much riding has happened, but that will come soon enough.  In the meantime, we’ve been making astonishing progress.  We move our furniture out the day after tomorrow, and ourselves three days after that.  Every day for the last two weeks has been crazy, and today was no exception.  We’re going to make it though – we’re down to a pretty short list of last minute tasks to complete tomorrow before the moving crew shows up Thursday AM.

I’ve been on task all day, but by four I’ve had quite enough.  Feeling entitled to a break, Rodriguez and I head over to the Lucky Lab, our favorite local brewpub.

It’s a bittersweet moment for me, sitting here savoring a slice of pizza and a delicious dopplebock.  I wonder if this will be the last time I stop in here, since we’ll be moving across the river in a few days.  There have been a lot of moments like this lately, as I make the rounds of my favorite haunts in the neighborhood.
